Instant Access

17 years

Inspired by a passion for computer security, Alex created Instant Access.

I enjoyed developing the project as it was my first exposure to RFID technology and I had a lot of fun playing round with the id-12 module. The hardest thing was definitely getting the code to work and not crash!

I've been a Bright Sparks member for a few months now and I really like the fact that there's an online club completely dedicated to electronics. I'm really into hacking [not cracking!] and if there's one person who's particularly inspired me it would have to be Kevin Mitnick - he was a pioneer in the field of both software and hardware hacking. In addition to computers I also enjoy aikido, cheng hsin and .22 target shooting.

In the future I intend to study a BSc majoring in Computer Science at the University of Auckland and then I'd love to work for the internet security and protection sector of the New Zealand Government.
