Without Windows Vista, but with a real desire to possess the savvy Windows sidebar gadget, Cheng-Yueh set about creating his own.

I don't have Windows Vista, yet I wanted a Windows sidebar gadget to assist my daily computing needs. Since almost all Windows sidebar items are for Vista only, I needed to build my own. It was challenging trying to solve all the technical difficulties by myself but learning new concepts, problem solving and logical reasoning skills was great.

I enjoy programming, maths and reading and electronics really interests me. I believe the invention of the semiconductor has changed our lives. Prior to electronic components being utilised, many everyday tasks we now take for granted, such as computer automation and digital calculations, had to be performed manually or through machines which are less efficient. Electronics has transformed almost every aspect of our lives including work, entertainment, education, communications.
