Safety Moover ensures safe milking on a rotary platform. Stepping on and off the device allows the farmer to stop and start the platform as needed.

I enjoy milking with my Dad on our 420 cow dairy farm.  We have a rotary platform cowshed and when I milk I’m unable to reach the rope that Dad uses to stop and start the platform.  It’s important that we can stop and start the platform, especially when a cow kicks her milking cups off.  So I came up with a solution.  When you step off the Safety Moover the rotary will stop spinning, and when you step back onto it the rotary will spin again.

The best part about developing my project was spending time in the workshop creating the wooden platform, and making it rotate at a suitable speed.  It was difficult getting the electronics and the timing of the rotary platform the same to make the Safety Moover work.
