Hello all.
Recently I have managed to aquired a PIC that I am having trouble identifing.
It is a 32 pin PIC, and has the markings (left to right, top to bottom):
SST (very large)
39SF0201
70-4C-PH
MPF (bold under the SST)
0242016-A
I cannot post a picture of the PIC, as my didgitial camera is out of action, and my webcams don't have enough resolution.
tTank you to anyone who can help.
Shea.

From those markings I can tell it's not a PIC :-)
It is a memory chip made by Silicon Storage Technology, and has the part number SST39SF020A-70-4C-PHE. It's a 2Mbit parallel flash chip with 8x 256k pages and 4K sectors.
Basically, it's a parallel memory chip that you can store information in without power. It's like an EEPROM, except different technology called Flash Memory.
