Anyone know where i can learn how to program on BASCOM?

Ross had a free e-book not too long ago... If you dig around in the AVR forum, you should find a post by rossp. It has a link to a very well done e-book (I think!).
There would be a great place to start.
Depending on your programming skills, it might be better to go with C and a GCC compiler.
