Waikato are pretty good. I'm a Pomme so don't know much about NZ Unis.
The Uni of Essex is the best in England!

The University of Canterbury has a good reputation in all the Engineering fields. They also run an Intermediate year for Engineers so you don't have to specialise from day one, rather, you get some time to decide what area is best for you. The electrical dept. is the largest of the different specialisations, I think.

Did anyone go to the University of Canterbury open day? it was really cool there were lots of fun activities available to do and amazing things in the engineering department.
