Harinder developed Stand Alone when he found out his brother needed a foot operation and it was very important that Harinder’s brother was able to tell the doctors where the pressure points on his feet were. Stand Alone is designed to fit inside a shoe, with sensors placed on the heel, mid-sole and ball of the foot. The sensors feed information back to an LCD screen which displays how much pressure is being exerted, and where. Harinder worked with physiotherapists in the design of this invention.
Stand Alone was a finalist in the 17+ Years category, well done Harinder!
