Profile Info

The Augmented Reality Sandbox is a projector that produces a topographical map on a physical sandbox in real time. By working together, the projector and sandbox have the ability to show contour lines, elevations, and detailed water-flow simulations which are updated when the layout of the sand in the box changes. The Augmented Reality Sandbox can be used to accurately model real-world landscapes, and presents an innovative way of engaging with geography.

The Augmented Reality Sandbox won 2nd place in Senior Engineering, well done Lachlan and Takashi!
